What customers reported
An account with a 3 October 2026 experience date describes remaining download credits that could not be used without another payment. The reviewer also expresses satisfaction with the audio itself. An earlier account, published 24 August for a 23 August experience, similarly describes unused minutes becoming inaccessible after a subscription ended. Read the Kits review listing.
The October review’s exact publication date was unavailable. The August account is historical context, not a new October incident. Neither establishes a common software fault, verified purchase, or error rate. We have not inspected either account’s billing history or reproduced the behavior.
Do remaining minutes guarantee download access?
Kits’ download-minutes help article, dated 19 August 2026, says free accounts cannot download. It describes download allowances and rollover for paid plans. Conversion and downloading are separate steps: having generated audio does not itself establish permission to export it under the current plan.
The pricing FAQ says additional features remain accessible until the billing period ends after cancellation. It also says custom voices become unavailable for use rather than being deleted, and notes that earlier subscribers may have different pricing arrangements.
These rules explain why a balance and active download access should be checked separately. They do not establish whether either reported balance was calculated correctly, whether an older plan had different entitlements, or whether renewal would restore every unused minute.
What to check before renewing
Our suggested checklist is to record the plan name, billing-period end, displayed minute balance, and exact download message. Distinguish an expired subscription from an active paid account that cannot export. Save cancellation and payment confirmations so support can examine the relevant period.
Use the support route linked from Kits’ pricing FAQ to ask which entitlement applies and what would happen to the balance before paying again. Treat rollover, download access, and voice access as separate questions.
Provider response and current status
Kits replied to the August review on 24 August, asking the customer to contact support for investigation. That reply does not confirm a refund or restored access. As of 6 October 2026, no case-specific resolution was visible for the October account in the material reviewed. This is an access-and-entitlement report, not evidence of a platform-wide outage or credits being stolen.
