What customers reported

A review published on 15 September, with the same date of experience, describes less satisfying vocal character and difficulty obtaining the requested style with v6-mini. A separate review published on 22 September, describing a 20 September experience, criticizes v6 sound and repetitive results. These are different variants, so they should not be treated as identical model behavior. Read the Suno review listing.

The listing also includes a positive 19 September account of creating a personal song on a phone. Experience is mixed; this sample cannot establish how often an issue occurs. We did not verify purchases, inspect the original prompts, or compare the audio ourselves. The reviews do not consistently identify the app version or device.

What Suno documents

Suno’s v6 FAQ, edited 9 September, describes v6 as its controlled option and v6-wild as more exploratory. It says models before v6 have been retired: existing songs remain, but new iterations use the current models. This supports the change in available workflows, not the reviewers’ assessment of sound quality.

The FAQ also describes a Variety slider that changes style prompts; setting it to zero retains control over those tags. Max Mode is presented as an option for longer tracks and consistency, with a higher credit cost. Neither feature is a promised fix for the experiences above.

What to check before another generation

Our suggested diagnostic approach is to save the prompt, selected model, settings, and a timestamp marking the unwanted sound. Compare like-for-like variants and listen through the full track before deciding which result to keep. Set a credit budget before experimenting; a more expensive setting does not establish that it will solve a specific problem.

Use the current model guide to distinguish v6, v6-wild, and v6-mini. If documenting the issue for support, describe what changed in the result rather than assuming a cause inside the model.

Current status and limits

As of 5 October 2026, the sources reviewed do not establish a fix, a technical cause, or a platform-wide incident. Suno describes the new models as improved; that is its product position, not a response resolving these individual reviews. We found no case-specific resolution in the reviewed material. These September accounts should not be read as proof that every current generation has the same issue.
