Three service recoveries at the research cutoff
Runway, OpenAI and the Cursor/Grok Bot status operator report the three disruptions below as resolved. Runway’s issue affected Kling video generations through Runway; OpenAI’s notice concerned ChatGPT file uploads and reading uploaded files. Cursor and Grok Bot reported source-control integration problems.
Coverage runs from 31 October at 11:59 to 3 November at 12:02 Europe/Istanbul (UTC+3), including the 48-hour overlap with yesterday’s scan. Events retain their original dates. Provider resolution does not prove that every account, queued task or failed upload recovered. Product launches and migration deadlines appear in the separate news edition.
| Affected service | First acknowledgement, Istanbul | Resolution notice, Istanbul | Status at cutoff |
|---|---|---|---|
| Runway’s Kling video generations | 2 Nov, 19:53 | 3 Nov, 03:59 | Resolved |
| ChatGPT file uploads / reading uploaded files | 3 Nov, 03:46 | 3 Nov, 08:39 | Resolved |
| Cursor IDE (Desktop) and Grok Bot source-control integrations | 2 Nov, 12:09 | 2 Nov, 13:24 | Resolved |
Times in this table are provider notice times, not independently measured start and end times for every user. Original notices are linked in each section.
Runway: Kling generation failures crossed midnight before resolution
Runway says most Kling video generations were failing or taking much longer than usual from about 18:00 Istanbul on 2 November. Its notice names Kling 4.0, Kling 3.0 variants and Kling O3 variants. Runway attributed the problem to its upstream provider and said other video models were unaffected. Official incident t2y77ls3m7r4.
The first acknowledgement appeared at 19:53; a 20:36 update described the affected models and approximate impact start. Runway advised choosing a different video model and warned that pending tasks might finish late or fail. The status moved to Monitoring at 01:17 on 3 November, although that update’s text still described investigation. It should not be read as an explicit all-clear. Runway marked the incident Resolved at 03:59.
The notice does not establish a worldwide outage of Kling’s own service or a Runway Public API outage. It gives no detailed technical root cause or verified impact-end time. The approximate start and resolution notice span two calendar days; they do not establish continuous downtime for each generation.
ChatGPT: file-upload and file-reading errors resolved after mitigation
OpenAI says some users could not upload files or get ChatGPT to read uploaded files. The first notice at 03:46 Istanbul on 3 November marked the issue identified. The page subsequently returned to investigation before another identified update at 05:06. Official ChatGPT incident 01M6FDZ89W4PKDS19K496J307G.
At 05:51, OpenAI said it had applied a mitigation and was monitoring recovery. At 08:39, it marked the incident resolved and reported normal operation of affected services. The first-notice-to-resolution interval was approximately 4 hours 53 minutes; this measures the published timeline, not each user’s interruption.
The notice does not identify a root cause, affected regions, subscription plans or specific models. It concerns the ChatGPT file workflow and does not establish a general API outage. No separate workaround was documented in the notice.
Cursor and Grok Bot: source-control integrations recovered on 2 November
The official status history records source-control integration problems in Cursor IDE (Desktop) and Grok Bot. Investigation began at 12:09 Istanbul on 2 November, and the operator marked the issue resolved at 13:24. Original incident and timeline.
The notice interval was 1 hour 15 minutes. The operator did not name a particular source-control provider, disclose a cause or provide a workaround. Its scope does not establish an outage of the underlying Grok model, every Cursor feature or a source-control host as a whole. Actual impact start and end times beyond the published notices remain unknown.
Earlier reports and customer-review limitations
The 2 November incident edition retains its earlier events and account-specific customer reports. Today’s file-upload recovery is not evidence that separate ChatGPT loading, runtime or email-connector complaints have been resolved. Rechecked community threads did not provide a qualifying, independently corroborated resolution for those cases.
Anthropic’s official history, Google’s Cloud and AI Studio histories, and ElevenLabs’ history were checked separately. Their previously covered recoveries were not republished as new incidents. Some regional and account-specific failures may be absent from public dashboards. Review-site access restrictions and isolated allegations remain research gaps, rather than evidence of a confirmed outage. MUVO does not infer prevalence from a small review sample.

Update timeline
- 3 November 2026, 12:02 Istanbul / 09:02 UTC: Research cutoff. Recorded three resolved incidents, preserving the Runway event’s cross-midnight timeline, OpenAI’s mitigation and resolution notices, and Cursor/Grok Bot’s limited integration scope. No material correction to an earlier published report was verified.
